The meaning of this statement is that intelligent is good but its not the only thing that matters. Having a good character is important too. Yeah being intelligent is important in the world today but that doesn't mean we should act horrible. Being smart and having amazing character means you were raised well you were raised to treat people with respect. These two things show what type pf person you are. No one would talk to trust someone who is intelligent but with a horrible character it wouldn't go. Character shows what type of person you are and if you're a trust-able , and responsible person. Being intelligent and having an amazing character will show that you're an honorable person. People will respect you and not only that you will have a good name. Meaning that people will remember you as a good person.It may also show how well we were raised.
