Student Success Statement

"I would prefer even to fail with honor than win by cheating"- Sophocles
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This statement is true because if you fail with honor you know that you tried your best. On the other hand if you cheat you will always know you didn't win doing what is right. Cheating is dishonorable and wont get you a good name. Everyone will remember you as the 'kid who cheated'. You might not be happy that you failed but you will always know you worked hard and you are doing what's right. An example of this is lets say there is a kid who tried his hardest for the math test he studied all night and when the test came he went blank but tried his hardest to solve it but when the results came back he wasn't happy with them but he will always know he tried his best. On the other hand you didn't study at all instead you chose to cheat and got a good grade but you will always know you cheated. We should just try our best if we don't succeed there is always next time.

In Acting Well

Student Success Statement :
"Act well your part; there all honor lies" - Alexander Pope

The meaning of this statement is  that if you do what's right and act well then you will be an honorable person. In any situation you might be in always choose to do the honorable thing. Acting your part well will not only make you an honorable person but will also get you a good name of yourself. An example of this is how the gymnastics Physician Larry Nassar was a well known doctor. He was well jnown by everyone but his did something horrible , he sexually assulted gymnist on the team. From one day to another he went from a good physician who everyone liked to a criminal. This quoote has different meaning to it like how you act around teachers, friends, and parents will determine how honorable you are.
