ENT: Ear-Nose-Throat Specialist

ENT's are responsible to treat surgical and any medical treatment that is related to the ears, nose, and throat. They work with patients with respiratory problems, any ear infections, nose bleeds, and any other problem that may fit in the ears, nose, and throat category.

To become an ENT you need to have a bachelor's degree, go to medical school, complete your residency, and get your license.

The career of being an ENT sounds really interesting, but it is not really something that i would like to do in the future.

Radiologist

1. Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities that a radiologist has is to evaluate a patients medical history, do the imagining procedure, look at the test result, and talk about it with the doctors on the case. They are to use x-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI'S to make a certain treatment diagnosis for the patient.

The education that you need to become a radiologist is a doctor of medicine degree from a med school, and your medical residency.

Being a radiologist sounds really cool, but i don't think it is something I would like to do. It doesn't have to do with anything related to working with kids, you work with all kids of people. Yeah here and there you can get to work with some kids, but not always, which is what i want to be able to work with kids as a full time job.

Registered nurse

Duties and Responsibilities: 

The duties and responsibilities of a registered nurse is to provide health care, and assist with physicians in anything they might need. They are to monitor, and record any symptoms or any thing that you see that might have changed in a patient such as write down any improvements, or if they got worse. 

Salary:

The annual salary for a registered nurse since 2017 is $70,000. According to Jacksonville university it ranges from $48,690 to $104,100.

Education:

The education needed to become a registered nurse is you need an associates degree, a bachelor's degree in science, or a diploma in a nursing program. Once you have earned your degree or diploma you must take National Council licensure examination, and pass it to be able to actually become a registered nurse. The requirements might change depending on what state you are in.

I would like to be one. Being a nurse sounds really interesting to me, the reason for this is because i want a job where you are able to help others. I want a job that involves working with kids, but this job sounds really interesting too. You meet new people, and you are able to help them feel better, you help them leave the hospital healthy and feeling better.

Cardiologist

Cardiologist

Duties & responsibilities: Cardiologist have to examine and diagnose patients. They treat your blood vessel`s, and any heart issues you might have. Once you get checked the cardiologist needs to check your test and analyze your results. If they find anything unusual,they might explain the risks of doing some activities and prohibit a couple things. If you have any heart problems a cardiologist will prescribe you some medication, and give you some treatment options.

Salary: The average pay a cardiologist might get paid in california is $326,298.

Education: To become a cardiologist you need first need to go to school and get masters degree, once you receive your masters degree you can go to med school, after med school you need to pass the medical college admission test.

This career seems really interesting to me, and i think i would consider being this. Doing something related to medicine has always somewhat interested me, it's just really expensive.

Audiologist

Duties and Responsibilities:  

Audiologist help people with hearing disorders to communicate and connect with everyone around them. They diagnose, manage , and treat a patient with hearing problems. They evaluate, and do test, or exams needed. They run test to determine the appropriate treatment that you might need. They’ll examine a patient's ear canals, and once all of this is done they are responsible to conduct any treatment programs for the patient.

Salary:
The salary for an audiologist is $75,920, and $36.50 an hour.
Education:
The education needed to become an audiologist is a doctoral or a professional
degree.
You will also need a license that is required by every state. In some states you
might also need a
certificate that you earn by passing a standardized exam.

I personally don't think i would like to be an audiologist. It's not related to the careers
i'm interested in.
In this career you have to work with everyone who might come into your office,
and in the career's
that i am interested in are all with working with kids only.

Athletic trainer

 Duties and responsibilities: Their duties are to conduct and initial any athlete injuries or illness they have. They need to do this in order to provide any emergency care that the athlete may need. They also need to do this so the athletic trainer can determine if the athlete should be sent for definitive diagnosis or just treatment. They apply tape, bandages, or braces on any injured part of your body .Athletic trainers determine when an athlete can participate and is ready to play.

Salary : An athletic trainer salary is $49,280 annually

Education : The education you need to become an athletic trainer is a bachelor's degree, you need to have a license, and have a certification.

Reflection: I think i would like to be one. This career looks so interesting to me, you get to help athletes with any injuries that they might have, and make them feel so much better. I really like medical related careers they really interest me. You can be an athletic trainer for many different sports, which i think is really cool. You can be one for a regular school sport like football or for a famous sports team. This career sounds really cool, and i would do further research on it. 

Acupuncture

Duties and Responsibilities:
What an acupuncturist does is insert needles into people for treatment. They also help people relieve any pain that they may have in their body.  Their only job isn't just to insert needles into people's body they might also give massages and other treatment to help them relieve stress and or pain. They are trained to treat the entire person rather than by their illness. They have to look at a person's  physical, mental, and emotional condition. They need to look at this in order to proper course treatment.
Salary:
In california the average salary is about $71,923.
Education:
 The education needed is a masters degree in acupuncture, and state licensing. You need a background in medicine, biology ,psychology, or neurology.

It sounds like a really cool job because you're giving people treatments and helping them relief stress through it. I don't think i would like to become and acupuncturist. I really dislike needles and this job requires using a lot of needles. I can't even look at needles because i get all nervous thinking about shots. So i wouldn't be a very good person for this job.

ophthalmologist

Duties and Responsibilities: 
Ophthalmologist are physicians who specialize in the treatment of eye disorders and diseases. They treat vision problems and write prescriptions for both pharmaceuticals and corrective eyeglass lenses. When necessary, they perform eye surgery. Most ophthalmologist are in private practice, however some are employed by hospital clinics, and others perform research.
Average Annual Salary: 
$90,000- $150,000
Education Requirements: 
Only physicians may study to become ophthalmologist. After completing medical school and an internships, an ophthalmologist must then complete a three to five year residency in an approved ophthalmologist program. After completing their residency program they must pass an examination to be certified.

Yes I would actually like to be an ophthalmologist because it sounds really cool. You are helping others see the world with 20/20 visions, and or helping people who have eye problems.  I really enjoy helping others and helping them fix a problem they might have. 

Radiation Oncologist

Duties and Responsibilities: 

A Radiation Oncology is responsible for treating patients with radiotherapy for there cancer. They have to position the patient and fix/adjust the machines to make sure they get proper treatment.

Education:

You need a Associates or a bachelors degree in radiotherapy and a certificate in radiation therapy.

Demand for this particular career:

You need a mandate certificate by the American registry of Radiologic Technologist

Duties and Responsibilities: You are responsible for treating people with any gum diseases, or any bones surrounding their jaw. You may have to do surgical and non surgical procedures. Some of your duties are to place impacts, develop any treatment plans, and you have to provide any preventative care.

Education: you need a PHD to become a periodontist.
Demand or need:  You need a degree in chemistry, biology, or in any other health science related field, and licensure for both dentistry and periodontuist.

Osteopathic Physician:
Duties and Responsibilities: An osteopathic surgeon specializes in a treatment called manipulative therapy. They use there hands to move a patients body, like bones or muscle into position.

Education: To become an osteopathic physician you need to get a bachelors, and pass your comprehensive medical licensing exam, and you need board certification from the National board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners. 
Demand for this particular career: You need to complete your internship , and residency.
