Obedience

"The key to freedom is obedience. The more obedient we are, the more freedom we have." -Boyd K. Packer 

I personally don't agree or disagree with this statement. I have mixed feelings
and thoughts about this quote. The reason why is agree with it is because yeah
you should obey in order to get freedom. An example of this is if you do do a
crime, you are obviously not going to have much freedom, because you're going
 to spend years, or your whole life in prison. The reason why i disagree with this
is because are you really free if you have to constantly be doing what someone else
is telling you to do? No you aren't really free or have much freedom if you have to
always obey what someone else is telling you to do. I don't side with agreeing with it
 or disagreeing with it. it all depends on the situation.

True Independence and freedom

"True independence and freedom can only exist in doing what's right" -Brigham Young

The meaning of this statement is doing the right thing will get you your independence and freedom. An example of this is doing something illegal or doing something your not suppose to will cause you to get your freedom and independence taken away. What i mean by this is that you will most likeley go to jail and by going to jail that mean you will not have any freedom. You shouldn't do things that you know will cause you to get that taken away those are two important things. While being free you can do anything you want whenever you want. This would be 10 times better than being locked up in jail. Any criminal in jail has no freedom or independence. They choose to do something wrong which caused them to loose there freedom and independence.
