1. Telling the truth lets everyone know what really happened there is less chance of misunderstanding, confusion, or conflict,
2. Telling the truth protects innocent people from being blamed or punished 
3. Telling the truth allows everyone to learn from what happened.
4. You usually get into less trouble for telling the truth other than lying (and getting caught)
5. Other people trust you more when you tell the truth 
6. You don't have to tell ( and remember) more lies to keep your story straight
7. You gain a reputation for being truthful- a trait most people value.
8. Telling the truth helps you to feel secure and peaceful inside.

I agree with these 8 reasons to tell the truth. Telling the truth is better than getting caught and getting a bad punishment for it. Of you tell the truth maybe not everyone will trust you the same because you might of told on them but other people will know you are an honest person who wouldn't lie. lieing won't help you because if if you are telling a story about something that happened and you switch up the story because you can't remember what you lied about last time can get you in trouble. Once you lie you get into the habit of lieing because you feel that if you lie then you can get yourself out of anything. Sometimes telling the truth is the best thing you can do you might be doing someone a favor or helping someone out by telling the truth.We should all try to tell the truth and not lie no matter the situation.

                           Word Of Honor 
"I have been asked what i mean by 'Word of honor'. I will tell you: Place me behind prison walls- Walls of stone ever so high , ever so thick, reaching ever so far into the ground-there is a possibility that i some way or another i might be able to escape; but stand me in the floor and draw a chalk line around me and have me give 'My word of honor never to cross it. Can i get out of that circle? NO, never! I'd die first" - Karl G. Maeser 



The meaning of this statement is that you shouldn't break a promise. If you keep your word you shouldn't find a way to break what you promised. Once you break a promise you will most likely never be trusted again. There's no reason why you should break your promises if you can' t keep your word don't make any promises next time. An example of this is if you make a promise to show up, or make any promise of any kind don,t break it. Breaking the promise will get you a bad name and people will no longer trust you.

The meaning of this statement means you should never break a promise no matter what. Breaking that promise causes you to have lost trust in the person or in yourself. You won't be trusted by certain people because you weren't able to keep the first promise. Promises include making promises to yourself and others. You won't just be un trusted but you will most likely regret not keeping the promise. Your name won't be  such a good name because people will remember that you can be told secrets , promises etc. Making a promise can be something big because you have to be faithful and keep the promise. of you make a promise make sure you can keep it before ruining your name if you son't keep it.

The meaning of this statement is you may not be the most talented but by working hard anything is possible. Not everyone is born with an amazing talent. Most of us have to work hard to get where we want to be. An example of this is lets say you want to be a soccer layer but you aren't really good at it . You are most likely going to do everything you can to get where you want to be. All those wins you get will pay fro all your hard work.We all wanna be great at something and by working hard this will all pay off. You will be proud of yourself and proud that you did it. That all those mornings before sunrise and those dark nights of hardworking will soon all be worth it. You'll thank yourself for all the hard work and most importantly you'll be proud of yourself.
