The meaning of this statement is if you wanna be a great person then you have to act the part. You have to be kind and treat people with kindness. You can't be truly great and act mean, and disrespect everyone. Being truly great will not only make you like able but it will also get you a good name. This statement is also related to the quote treat others how you want to be treated. An example of this is on instagram there was this video. The video was about this school's basketball team, There was a boy with a certain disorder and he really loved basketball but couldn't play so the team let him play and the boy got them the extra point to win. This show that the basketball team are truly great persons because they treat others with kindness and did that for him. Being truly great makes you a good person and makes you a better person.
