The meaning of this statement is that it doesn't matter if you win or loose as long as you stay true to yourself any everyone. By staying true it shows that you are an honest person who can be trusted. An example of this is if you do something your'e not suppose to be doing or damage something don't hide it. Tell the person the truth , it shows that you would never lie they might not trust you but they'll know you are honest. We should always choose to be true with everyone. Being true will also get you a good name
